The SR1000EWN is a Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2005. It was produced in South Korea as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The SR1000EWN features neck-through-body construction with a walnut top on mahogany wings attached to a maple and bubinga neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with offset abalone dot position markers. The headstock features a veneer to match the body. Components include a pair of Bartolini Custom pickups connected to a Vari-Mid III HQ preamp, a Mono-Rail IV bridge, cosmo black hardware, and Gotoh machine heads. Controls consist of a global volume, a balancer, a three-band EQ, and a mid frequency crossover selector with concentric stacked EQ control knobs.
The preamp was referred to as the Vari-Mid HiFi in the US market in 2005. For 2006 the knobs were changed from knurled metal domes to black plastic knobs, and a deluxe hardshell case was included.
