Made by the Fujigen factory in 2005, the Les Paul Standard LQ appeared in the Japanese Epiphone Elitist catalog filled with Gibson quality guitars. Only sold within Japan, the Standard LQ features a mahogany body with a plain maple cap, medium profile (between 50's and slim 60's) mahogany neck, 22 fret rosewood fingerboard and weighs 4.1kg's.
Long tenon neck joint with a full open-book headstock design, 17 degree headstock angle and a "Standard" branded bell truss cover give this a full Gibson USA look and exceptional Japanese feel. Epiphone Japan PAF style humbuckers and Japanese pots sound great. The LQ part of the model number indicates that it's painted with a "catalysed lacquer finish", giving it a slightly matte look while still keeping some deep glossy shine. The previous owner had a Bigsby professionally installed otherwise it appears to be all original.
Good vintage condition as pictured with plenty of basic cosmetic wear from general use but no breaks or repairs. The frets have some playwear but are shiny and smooth and the neck is straight with a fully adjustable truss rod.
