Tokai Talbo (Tokai Aluminium Body) guitars were introduced in 1980 and feature a solid aluminium body with a chamber underneath the pickguard. These were known for having a crystal clear clean tone that resonates beautifully both acoustically and plugged-in. Rosewood board and a dark brown stained maple neck, loaded with a 5-way selector controlling the original HSS pickups, weighs 4kg's.
If you're Australian and a certain age, you'll likely recognise these from their use with INXS. Nile Rodgers is rumoured to have put Tim Farriss onto Tokai’s Talbo Blazing Fire. Tim went on to use the Talbo for decades.
Good overall used condition as pictured with some very light wear as pictured (and one notable scratch on the top of the body) but no structural breaks or repairs. Frets have some light use but were polished prior to listing along with a fretboard oil. The truss works well and the neck is straight.
