"Gibson returned the Flying V to its roots in 1990 after experimenting with numerous aspects of the design throughout the '80s. Eschewing the offset knobs and beveled edges from the previous decade, Gibson returned to one of the earliest standard production versions of the Flying V from 1967 for inspiration, using a more traditional triangle-knob layout, and plain mahogany body woods"
A well loved example of a late 90's Gibson Flying V. Cherry Red finish on the mahogany body with a slim 60's style neck profile and 22 fret rosewood fingerboard, it weighs 3.1kg's. This one appears all original as pictured with 500T & 496R humbuckers and Gibson Deluxe branded tuners.
Received a full setup and service prior to listing including a fret polish, fretboard oil and buff/polish. Frets are shiny and smooth and the neck is straight with a fully functional truss. The hardware is heavily nicotine stained from the previous owner and the top coat of lacquer is peeling and checking in spots (notable on the back of the neck) but there's no structural breaks or repairs.
