Made by the Tokai factory in Japan sometime near the mid-late 1990's, this is a very subtle '52 reissue Telecaster from Fender that offers a lot more than meets the eye. With a very heavy ash body, one-piece maple neck with a walnut skunk stripe (slim V profile, 7.25" radius, 21 frets), it weighs 4.3kg's - which is a full kg heavier than most of the TL52 models that were made with "Light Ash" as per the catalog.

This one's been modified internally with a four-way switch wired to control the two unknown Seymour Duncan pickups (with position 2 & 4 switchable between series and parallel using the push/pull switch on the tone pot) along with a pair of PIO caps (one Sprague and one Tone Factory). The original ash-tray style bridge (that would have had the serial number on it) has been replaced with a modern style bridge and the screws have all been converted to period-correct flathead screws.

Good lightly used condition as pictured with only very slight cosmetic bumps and dings, restrung and given a professional service prior to listing. Truss works well and the frets are shiny with plenty of life.
