Made in Japan in 1993, the STS-550 was a short scale Stratocaster from Fender's "Pro-Feel" collection of modern guitars built for players who wanted specs that weren't offered in their "reissue" series. The STS-550 is essentially a Strat that's masquerading as a Mustang. Compact poplar body wearing a glossy "Cosmo Red" finish bolted to a maple neck with a 22 fret maple fingerboard (610mm scale length, 39mm nut width), it weighs 3.1kg's.
Loaded with three single coils controlled by a 5-way selector and master volume/tone controls and an ENDROX tremolo system, appears to be all original. Good overall condition for its age with only basic wear and tear from general use. The frets are shiny and smooth, the neck is straight and the truss rod works as it should. Received a basic setup and service prior to listing.
