Japanese made in 1992 by the Fujigen factory, the RG770DX was a short-lived high end model from Ibanez designed with flashy finishes and colourful inlays. This one originally had a Violet Metallic finish on the body and headstock but has completely faded to a relic'd gold that looks just as cool. Basswood body with a Wizard maple neck and a 24 fret maple fingerboard with purple inlays, weighs 3.6kg's. Loaded with the original Dimarzio made "IBZ USA" pickups (in purple to match the inlays and finish), the original Lo-Pro Edge tremolo system and Gotoh tuners.
A very well loved guitar that's seen plenty of use over the years with cosmetic wear and tear to the body and neck, given a full professional setup and service prior to listing. The neck is straight with a fully adjustable truss, the frets have plenty of life and are smooth and shiny with some light pitting and playwear in spots. The neck pocket cracks don't have any structural issues and are purely in the paint.
