Made in Japan in the 1990's, the Ironbird Bass is one of the most iconic and sought after models in the B.C Rich universe. To quote the 1990 Japanese catalog:
The Ironbird bass reappeared in the B.C. Rich bass lineup in late 1989. Like the IG, its radical shape, trimmed with sharp lines, is perfect for heavy metal and hard rock. The sound is tight, allowing basses to clearly assert their presence even at high volumes. This bass is a game changer in the current bass scene, where standard shapes are the norm compared to guitars.
Solid body with a 24 fret rosewood fingerboard (34" scale length), this one weighs 3.9kg's. Loaded with two Gotoh P style pickups and an unbranded J pickup in the bridge position controlled by a volume control for the neck and bridge pickups and another for the middle pickup along with a three-way toggle and master tone.
Good overall condition, received a full professional service prior to listing. The previous owner appears to have given it a custom paintjob as pictured and there's a Tokai neckplate, the tuners and bridge are original though.
