The PGM100 is known as the initial signature model for Paul Gilbert and was made in Japan by Ibanez between 1989 and 1995. This 1990 model features a basswood body with a Jewel Blue finish and pink "f-holes" on the top, Wizard profile maple neck and a bound 24 fret rosewood fingerboard with Sharkfin inlays, it weighs 3.5kg's. Pink Dimarzio PAF Pro humbucker in the neck and a Tone Zone in the bridge with a FS-1 single coil controlled by a master volume knob and 5-way selector.
This one has a Lo-Pro Edge tremolo system instead of the original Edge system, otherwise it appears to be all original. The neck arrived to us with a slight crack near the nut screws as pictured, we've had it professionally injected with glue before being clamped, buffed and sanded so it's undetectable in the hand and the neck has a smooth and fast satin feel. There's plenty of signs of play-wear on this one as pictured however the neck is straight and the truss works as it should, the frets are shiny and smooth with plenty of life in them.
