Made by the Fujigen factory in 1990, the Hot Rod Reissue series were designed to be a "hotter" version of the classic Stratocaster and was made famous by Richie Sambora.
Weighing 3.6kg's, this is the 50's version with a Candy Apple Red finish on a basswood body bolted to a modern profile maple neck with a 12" radius, 22 jumbo frets and a contoured four-bolt cutaway. Factory loaded with a Kahler Steeler tremolo system, DiMarzio HM bridge pickup with a coil split on the tone pot and a TBX passive tone system, this one appears all original except for some replacement locking nut pads.
Good vintage condition as pictured with regular playwear from general use, received a professional setup and service prior to listing. The neck is straight and the truss works well, the jumbo frets are smooth with plenty of life.
