Made by the Fujigen factory as part of the acclaimed "E Series" of guitars from the mid-late 1980's, the ST54-85LS was Fender Japan's unofficial Eric Clapton model Stratocaster with factory active Lace Sensor pickups. Black finish on an alder body with a '54 soft V profile maple neck (7.25" radius, 43mm nut), weighs 3.5kg's. Loaded with the factory fitted Fender Lace Sensor single coil pickups controlled by a 5-way selector, active mid boost circuit plus a volume and tone control. Looks to be all original.
Good vintage cosmetic condition with basic wear and tear as pictured. Given a full professional setup and service prior to listing, the hardware has some light patina and the plastics have faded, the neck is straight with an adjustable truss and the frets are shiny with some light pitting. The pickguard has been slotted slightly by the previous owner to allow for truss access without removing the neck.
