Made in Japan in 1985, the original BB5000 was a brand new flagship bass from Yamaha and was the first production 5-string bass ever. 5-strings and 24 frets, these are the ultimate professional players bass. Alder body with a maple/mahogany neckthrough construction and a Madagascar ebony fingerboard (44mm nut width, 34" scale length), this one weighs 4.4kg's. Looks to be all original as pictured.
Very good vintage condition as pictured, received a full professional setup and service prior to listing including a deep clean, fretboard oil and truss adjustment. The neck is straight and plays smoothly.
