Part of the acclaimed "JV" series of guitars made by the Fujigen factory in Japan in the early 1980's, this is a Squier SST-30 model from the 1984 catalog. Heavy relic black finish on a basswood body with a very nice 21 fret maple neck, it weighs 3.6kg's.
The original Fender Japan ceramic single coils sound great and the wiring appears to be all original, there's a new pickguard installed and a brand new bone nut otherwise it appears to be all original.
Heavily worn vintage condition as pictured with sticker residue, scratches and dings all over. The neck is straight and the truss works as it should. If you're looking for the perfect "sleeper" vintage guitar or something to refinish then this could be perfect.
