Japanese made by Fernandes in 1985, the EXB-85 was designed to compete with the solid coloured Gibson Explorer Bass models of the same era. Full metallic Candy Apple Red finish on a solid alder body bolted to a painted maple neck with a 20 fret rosewood fingerboard (34" scale length, 45mm nut with), it weighs 4kg's.
Loaded with a single aftermarket humbucker controlled by master/volume tone controls with the original active circuitry removed for a simplified playing experience. The original bridge and tuners are both working perfectly.
Clean vintage condition with light wear from general use, no notable dings or bumps. The neck is straight and the frets are shiny and smooth, the truss is working well and the bass received a full professional setup and service prior to listing.
