Considered by many as an upgrade to the standard Les Paul design, the Yamaha SG series are some of the fullest sounding guitars you'll ever play. The SG-1600 was one of the revised models from the mid 1980's and was designed to be a high end offering.
Weighing in at 4.3kg's (fairly light for an SG), it's built with a mahogany body, maple top, slim 60's mahogany neck and a rosewood fretboard (12" radius, 628mm scale length, 43mm nut width).
Loaded with the original Yamaha tailpiece, bridge and tuners along with the original Spinex pickups with coil split push pots.
