Made in Japan in 1982, the SS-38 Silver Star was Tokai’s version of the CBS era Fender Stratocaster. Large headstock with a bullet truss and tilt adjuster on a three-bolt neck plate, it weighs 3.4kg’s. Alder body with an aged Gloss Black finish, one piece maple neck with a comfortable rounded C profile (40mm nut width), 21 fret rosewood fingerboard. Loaded with Tokai SS-HOT pickups and 70's style hardware, it looks to be all original.
Very clean vintage condition as pictured with only basic signs of wear and tear. Truss works well and the frets appear nearly unused, given a full professional setup and service prior to listing.
