More aesthetic vibe than you could ever handle and twice as much sound! Made in Tokyo by the by Yubi Sound Lab (the Japanese distributor for Seymour Duncan), these were mostly on-off custom shop style builds created to showcase the range of SD pickups prior to their agreement with ESP. Loaded with just a single Seymour Duncan JBJ/SH-4 humbucker (16.5k), this one's built with a one-piece '54 style maple neck (soft V profile) bolted to an unfinished two-piece alder body. Controlled by a single volume knob and output jack mounted to the control plate, it's a very simple no-nonsense guitar with incredible acoustic volume. The original Dimarzio branded machine heads are an interesting choice given that it's a Seymour Duncan build, but they look the part and keep things perfectly in tune.

There's no signs of this every being painted and there's still pencil marks on the body from the pickup and control cavity routing, it seems like their goal here was to leave as much wood as they could! No markings visible on the neck pocket or neck heel, the original pot was replaced with a CTS one at some point, it's likely this one was made in-house and was never intended to be sold.

Received a full professional setup and service prior to listing, plays and sounds great with a straight neck and adjustable truss. Frets show some light signs of wear/light pitting but are shiny and play well, electronics have been flushed and sound great.
