Made in Japan by ESP in the 1980's, this customer order Navigator model was a high end custom build made to the original owners specs. Nitro three-tone sunburst finish on an ash body with a maple neck and rosewood fretboard with dot inlays, it weighs 4kg’s. 20 frets with a 39mm nut width, it’s loaded with a pair of single coil pickups (unbranded) and CTS pots (two volume knobs and a master tone).
This looks and feels like a very professional jazz bass model from one of Japan's favourite brands. There's a few cosmetic dings as pictured on the body and neck but no breaks or repairs and nothing that impacts on playability. Given a restring and basic setup prior to listing including a truss adjustment, fret polish and electronics flush. The neck is nice and straight and the truss adjusts as it should.
