Japanese made in the late 1970's, the "Sgudel" was the nickname that Navigator gave to their '73 reissue model SG. A subsidiary of ESP Japan, Navigator guitars stand the test of time as some of the coolest and most vibe-y guitars to come out of Japan due to their custom-shop level craftsmanship and materials.
African Mahogany body with a walnut varnish stain, quartersawn African Mahogany neck with a slim profile and pronounced volute, rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets, it weighs 3kg's.
The previous owner routed this one for a third humbucker so it's loaded with two original humbuckers and one aftermarket. Wearing pearl trapezoid inlays with a crown inlay on the headstock and classic open book headstock design for a true Gibson look.
Given a full professional setup and service prior to listing. Two pots and the three-way selector were replaced. Overall it's in good vintage condition as pictured with some honest play-wear and cosmetic bumps/bruises. The neck is straight and the truss works as it should, it plays like a dream and is one heck of an SG.
