Due to an email from a lawyer on behalf of Fender (threatening a cease and desist), we are obliged to tell you that this is absolutely not a Fender guitar. There is nothing Fender about it and it was not made by Fender or approved by Fender.
Made in Japan in 1979, the FES-55 was a very rare "Esquire" model from Fernandes/Burny. Solid body with a nice aged maple neck (slim C profile), it weighs 3.7kg's. Loaded with the original single coil controlled by three-way Esquire switching, it looks all original as pictured.
Nice vintage condition and professionally serviced prior to listing, no breaks or repairs. The neck is straight and truss works well, the frets are shiny with some life left.
