The Aria Pro II TSB-550 was the single pickup model from one of the best Japanese bass ranges to ever come out of the Matsumoku factory. Favoured by bass legends including Cliff Burton, Jack Bruce and John Taylor, the TSB-550 was a neckthrough build with an ash body, a smooth maple/walnut transmit neck (and heel-less cutaway) and a rosewood 22 fret fingerboard with diamond inlays. Weighs 4kg's.
Factory loaded with a MB-II double-coil pickup with a volume/tone control along with a dual-sound toggle. 45mm brass nut with a reasonably slim neck profile, 820mm scale length.
Reasonable vintage condition as pictured with basic signs of wear and tear for it's age and some surface rusting/patina on the hardware, it seems all original except the knobs and a brand new mini toggle. Given a restring and professional setup/service prior to listing, the neck is straight and the truss adjusts well, the frets are shiny and play smoothly.
