Made in Japan in the mid 1970's for a very limited period, the VB-700 was Greco's deluxe model Violin Bass with a much more flamboyant look than the traditional models. The catalog lists these as featuring a sycamore body bolted to a maple neck with a striped ebony fingerboard and this one weighs 2.5kg's. Covered in "mother-of-pearl" style binding over the body and neck along with some intricate inlays, gold hardware and wood-grained plastic covers, they truly went all out to create an amazing looking bass.
Clean vintage condition as pictured with no breaks or repairs and just basic wear and tear from general use. It appears all original and has a straight neck, adjustable truss and plenty of life in the frets.
