Japanese made by the Matsumoku factory in the early 1970's to replicate the famous Hofner bass. The VB-300 from Aria's "Diamond" series features a hollowbody violin-style construction bolted to a maple neck with a 20 fret rosewood fingerboard (30" scale length) and weighs 2.7kg's.
Loaded with humbucker-style pickups controlled by master volume/tone controls and a three-way selector, it appears to be all original and working well. The neck is straight and the truss has life left, the frets are shiny and smooth.
