Boss FA-1 FET Amplifier
The Boss FA-1 FET Amplifier was one of two Pocket Series products (the other being the MA-1 Mascot Amplifier) released in the mid 1980's. The Pocket Series were designed to clip onto the users belt using the plastic mount hook on the back and therefor the FA-1 had no power jack.
The FA-1 offers guitarists a boost with some character that responds well with playing dynamics. The Volume knob controls the volume and grit of the boost, the Treble knob controls the high frequencies, the Bass knob controls the low frequencies and the slide switch changes between a flat EQ and a low cut setting.
The FA-1 and MA-1 featured a folding box, allowing stores to display them on an angle. This means an unfolded box in good condition (pictured) is even more rare than a standard Boss box.
