1980s Maxon Japan SD-01 Sonic Distortion Vintage Effects Pedal
From Maxon's 01 series sold to the Japanese market only, the Maxon SD-01 Sonic Distortion uses the same JRC4558D as the original 808/Tubescreamer, although these have higher gain and more clarity, less compression, and less midrange than the classic 808 or OD-9.
The distortion is brighter and the treble does not drop, so it loves any pickup configuration!
