1970's Camel Japan Les Paul Standard (Brown Sunburst)
Made under the Matsumoto Musical Instrument Manufacturers' Association in the 1970's, the Camel branded instruments were higher end Japanese made models. Mahogany back with a plain mahogany top, set mahogany neck with a slim 60's profile, rosewood fingerboard, weighs 3.8kg's. Looks to be all original except for a brand new Gotoh bridge and tailpiece and a new nut, this is one of the rarer Japanese guitars that had the words Les Paul written on the headstock.
Had a bit of work done to the binding prior to listing where it had peeled away over the years, professionally reglued and clamped so it's secure and smooth. Restrung and given a basic setup and service prior to listing, frets play well and have life left, light pitting and play wear with an adjustable truss.
