Made by Kawai in the late 1960's and sold under the Splendor brand, the CB-2V (known as the Banjitar because of it's shape) is a quirky little hollowbody with loads of character. A small round hollowbody construction with a round pickguard in the aesthetic style of a banjo skin, 610mm scale length rosewood fingerboard on a maple neck, it weighs 3.2kg's. Loaded with a pair of vintage single coil pickups along with an intoneateable bridge and a nice little tremolo system.
This one has some modern tuners installed otherwise it appears to be close to all original. Plays and sounds great with some wear to what seem to be the original frets and has a straight neck with an adjustable truss.
