Boss BF-2 Flanger
Info:The Boss BF-2 Flanger was the replacement to the original BF-1 from Roland. The BF-2 features the same control layout, however contains a slightly modified circuit. The BF-2 was a lot thicker in sound than many flangers released in the 80's and was a favourite for those looking for less of a jet engine tone and more of a swelling, throbbing modulation.
The Manual knob adjusts the rate of the delay time, the Depth knob controls the peaks of the waveform, the Rate knob controls the speed of the flange and the Res knob controls the resonance of the effect. Produced from June 1980 until December 2001. Variations:Switches - Clear, Black
Screw - SIlver, Black Knobs - Black (Japan), Cream (Taiwan) Made in Japan until 1990, then moved to Taiwan |
Other Info:
The original colour chosen by Boss Japan for the BF-2 was actually bright pink. Overseas Boss offices complained that this colour was a "lingerie" colour and was not suitable for a Boss pedal and the design was updated prior to the pedals mass production.
