This is the guitar that directly preceded the famous Fender JV series! If you haven't heard of the JV series then have a read online and you'll find they are some of the most desirable Fender Stratocasters around due to the insanely high quality and pricepoint. With a matching Candy Apple Red headstock (a very rare finish), a lovely Alder body and plenty of vintage Fender style, there's no wonder Fender wanted to make these their own.
With the poor quality coming out of the Fender factory in the 1970's, buying a Japanese guitar from this period can be a much better choice. The Japanese factories were producing high quality instruments throughout the 1970's, whereas the cost-cutting measures that CBS had implemented on Fender had a huge impact on the quality and consistency of their instruments. If you're after a vintage Fender-style guitar from the 1970's then you'll save money and gain quality in buying a Japanese guitar like this!

2 very minor paint cracks near the neck joint but no structural damage at all, the joint is solid as a rock. Great shape for it's age, the frets have plenty of height and play nicely. Pickups have been replaced with modern Fender single coils.
